Cowboy Day brings Wild West fun to Capecare
The Wild West came to Capecare last Friday, as residents and staff pulled on their cowboy hats and boots for a fun-filled Cowboy Day across Busselton and Dunsborough.
Our Hospitality teams created a special western-inspired lunch featuring BBQ brisket with corn salad and tortillas, followed by peach cobbler.
Themed activities continued throughout the day, with movies, music, games, dress-ups and prizes for the best-dressed cowboys and cowgirls. In Busselton, performers from Lamp Inc entertained residents with a lively mix of country and rock classics, while Dunsborough residents enjoyed a screening of John Wayne’s True Grit.
Residents loved seeing staff embrace the theme, with plenty of big cowboy hats, boots and fancy belt buckles on display. The “Wanted” posters also provided a popular backdrop for photos.
With great food, music, laughter and plenty of Wild West spirit, it was a memorable day for everyone involved.
