What is a bequest or gift in a will?

A bequest is also known as a gift in your will. It is a way is a way to leave a donation to a cause that matters to you.

There are several ways you can choose to give:

A share of your estate
A percentage of your estate
A specific sum of money
Property, shares or other assets

We encourage you to take care of your loved ones first and seek independent advice when preparing your will.

Bequest to Capecare creates a lasting place to gather

Every gift helps enrich the lives of the people we care for.

After calling Capecare Busselton home for 29 years, a resident chose to leave us a generous bequest of $177,000, making it possible to rebuild our much-loved beach gazebo. Today it continues to provide a beautiful place for residents, families and staff to gather and enjoy our stunning coastal setting.

Another resident, who treasured every visit to the beach, left a gift of $5000 to purchase an all-terrain beach wheelchair. Thanks to her generosity, more residents can now experience the simple pleasure of feeling the sand beneath their feet and dipping their toes in the ocean.

These gifts, large and small, continue to make a lasting difference for generations of Capecare residents.
