Falls Prevention, balance and strength programs
Build and maintain strength, improve balance and feel more confident
Regular exercise plays an important role in supporting strength, balance, mobility and confidence as we age. Capecare’s Community team offers tailored exercise programs to help you move safely, stay active and continue living independently.
Our programs may help you:
- Maintain and improve overall health and capacity for exercise
- Recover and rebuild confidence following a fall
- Reduce your risk of falls
- Improve your balance, strength and mobility
- Feel safer completing everyday activities
- Maintain your independence at home and in the community.
Support from experienced health professionals
Programs are delivered by Capecare’s Exercise Physiologist and Occupational Therapist, who will work with you to understand your needs, abilities and goals.
Depending on the program, support may include exercises to improve strength and balance, practical strategies for moving more safely, and advice to help you manage everyday activities with greater confidence.
Programs are suitable for people with different levels of mobility and can be adapted to individual needs.
Who can take part?
The programs are available to eligible people receiving:
- Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) funding
- Support at Home funding
Or you can opt to pay for these services privately.
Our team can discuss the available options.
When are programs available?
60-minute classes are held in Busselton in our Social Centre and Dunsborough in our Residential facility.
