Shopping and social support
Capecare’s Social Support Services enable our clients to continue living independently at home, providing extra assistance as needed to encourage continued community connection.
We offer an array of social support and work with individual client requirements, collaborating with them to create goals and plans to ensure they continue to enjoy their favourite hobbies, activities and experiences.
This support can directly benefit physical, emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing.
Examples of Capecare’s social support service activities:
- Companionship and social interaction
- Lunch and coffee outings
- Reading, in-home movies and board games
- Assisting with hobbies or art at home or at clubs or groups
- Escorting to social events, to the movies, sporting venues or theatre
- Assistance with correspondence
- Having a coffee and chat at home
- Connecting with local services or businesses
- Helping to access hairdresser, post office, shopping or other services
- Attending appointments.
