Discover connection and community at Capecare’s Social Centre

Capecare’s Social Centre in Broadwater is a welcoming and lively space where older people can enjoy friendship, conversation, meaningful activities and regular outings in a supportive environment.

Open to people aged over 65, the Social Centre offers a varied program of activities including games, entertainment, gentle exercise, craft, music, gardening, regular outings, lunch, morning and afternoon tea, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others.

For many clients, the Social Centre provides an important chance to get out of the house, meet new people and enjoy being part of a friendly community. It also provides valuable support for spouses, families and carers, knowing their loved one is spending time in a safe, engaging and caring environment.

Capecare’s Social Centre clients are supported by dedicated, trained care staff, with access to Capecare’s broader community services and allied health professionals as appropriate.

If you think the Social Centre might be right for you, your partner or your parent, we would love to welcome you for a free morning tea so you can meet the team, see the space and find out what all the fun is about.

To find out more or arrange a visit, call 9750 2097 or email community@capecare.com.au.

Social Centre activities may be subsidised through Support at Home or Commonwealth Home Support Programme funding and transport is available to and from Capecare with the appropriate packages.

We are the only home care provider in the region to offer a Social Centre service.
