Capecare is currently offering paid traineeships for students enrolled in a Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing) at the South West Regional TAFE. This is an ideal opportunity for those wanting to start a career in the disability and aged care sector and make a positive difference to the lives of others in one of the fastest growing workforces in WA.
The 9 to 12-month long traineeship provides individuals with the foundation skills and knowledge to become a direct care/support worker and prepare them for a rewarding career in aged care. Additionally, it’s an ideal entry pathway to transition into studying a Certificate IV or nursing.
Upon completion, graduates will be guaranteed full-time or part time work at Capecare as a Carer. Opportunities may also be available for unskilled Care Support Workers (on-the-job training provided), Domestic Assistants and Lifestyle Assistants.
Additional benefits of the program include:
• Develop the required skills to transition into an allied health occupation
• Gain vital employer references
• Connect with other employment opportunities within these sectors
