Respite care – a holiday from home & respite for home carers
Capecare offers day, overnight or longer stays in our beautiful Cottage Respite accommodation and Social Centre by the beach in Busselton.
We provide the only Cottage Respite service currently available in the South West. Guests enjoy a welcoming, inclusive environment and our services are available to local seniors and people living with a disability, or those needing step-down care after a hospital stay.
Our dedicated Cottage Respite centre has been freshly refurbished and provides a holiday-from-home for guests needing supervised care.
Your loved ones will be treated as guests on holiday with staff on hand to provide great company, care, and assistance whenever needed.
You’ll have peace of mind knowing they are in great hands in delightful surrounds.
Features include charming spacious ensuite bedrooms, a stylish comfortable lounge, dining, activities area, courtyards and kitchen.

Cottage Respite
Cottage Respite is available for community members who live in their own home and are supported by a loved one or carer.
Clients can stay for one night or up to six weeks in a private spacious ensuite bedroom. We provide 24-hour care by trained staff and Cottage Respite includes a selection of meals prepared onsite by our catering team.

Cottage Respite clients can also enjoy our Social Centre, conveniently located within the same dedicated space, providing social connections and activities of the guest’s choice.
Any health needs usually managed at home will be managed by our 24-hour trained clinical team during a Respite stay.
As there is significant community demand for our Respite services, we recommend contacting us as soon as you think you may have need of these services. While most client’s book stays in advance across the year, we do try to meet any needs for emergency respite and are more than happy to discuss options with you. You can access Residential Respite for up to 63 days per financial year.
You will need an ACAT assessment to be eligible for this type of respite and you can expect to pay a Basic Daily Fee and maybe a Booking Fee.

Capecare Social Centre
Capecare Community services in Busselton include a buzzing Social Centre for day visits plus access to our physios and other health professionals.
Features include:
- Social engagement with fellow community members, staff and volunteers
- Variety of scheduled craft, games, gardening, musical and creative activities
- Menu selection for lunch plus morning and afternoon tea and refreshments
- Attended by dedicated, trained care staff
