Capecare is trusted by our clients to help maintain their independence at home, providing a variety of services to make this possible, tailored to their needs. Our mission is to support seniors to age in place with dignity.

In-home care, in-home and day respite, a community social centre, allied health services and nursing care can be combined or stand along and supported by Support at Home or Commonwealth Home Support Program funding packages. We also provide self-funded tailored care.

  • Commonwealth Home Support Program – CHSP

    Commonwealth Home Support Program services provide entry level support services to assist those that meet the eligibility requirements to remain independent in their own homes.

    Please note: The Commonwealth Home Support Program will transition to the new Australian Government Support at Home program no earlier than 1 July 2027.  Find out more

  • Home Care Packages

    Home Care Packages offer a more comprehensive level of care and services to people assessed to require more support. Eligibility for Home Care Packages is determined by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).

    Our Home Care Packages are personalised ‘packages’ of care, we will partner with you to tailor your service to meet your needs and preferences. For more information contact us.

    Please note: The Australian Government is launching the new Support at Home Program from 1 November 2025 to replace the Home Care Packages Program. Find out more how this new system will work to enable older people to stay at home for longer.

  • Private/Fee For Service

    Capecare can also offer a range of home services and supports under a private fee arrangement.

  • 24 Hour Respite (Short Stay in a Supported Environment)

    Capecare offers short stay Respite accommodation options for stays from 2 days to 6 weeks. Our respite service is available for people living at home with a carer that requires a break, or you may just need some additional help and support in the short term. Our homely accommodation offers carers and families the peace of mind that their loved one is in a safe and comfortable environment with 24-hour staffing and support. Whilst in respite, you will enjoy a private room with an ensuite bathroom facilities, tasty and nutritious meals cooked on site and an engaging socially connected environment that offers a range of leisure activities. We also offer comprehensive Allied Health Support options including group reablement programs for a small additional fee.

    24 hour respite can be accessed in a few different ways:

    – With funding from your Home Care Package. Your Package can be with Capecare, or another provider, you can just ask them to contact us to arrange respite accommodation for you.

    – With CHSP funding through the service offering ‘Cottage Respite’. The Regional Assessment Service will assess your need for cottage respite and allocate the correct funding type to you to allow your carer to have a break.

    – By a private arrangement with Capecare. There is no time limit on private respite – Please speak to our admissions team for further information.

  • Social Centre

    Our Social Centre is co-located within our Busselton Campus. We offer a flexible program of events and activities, nutritious meals, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

    You will have the opportunity to enjoy relationships with others and connect with your local community. Our skilled and experienced staff are here to help you enjoy activities at the centre and go on social outings. We will work with you to understand your goals and interests so we can incorporate them into our planned activities and events.

    If you are caring for someone, our social centre can support you both to enjoy meaningful time, activity and engagement with others.
