Position Title: Cottage Respite Carers (part-time)

Main Purpose of Position

Capecare offer short term respite at our Busselton respite centre, enabling Carers/families to take a break when needed. Support Workers are sought for afternoon shifts from 1500 to 2100 and night shifts from 2100 to 0700 working a minimum three days a week. Staff will be engaged in the community during respite vacancies.

  • Observe and comply with all health and safety instructions, procedures, signs and notices relating to your work and correctly use the appropriate protective clothing and equipment supplied.
  • Follow Infection Prevention and Control procedures and standards relevant to the role.
  • Use correct documented procedures to correct, if possible, and immediately report any unsafe situations, near-miss incidents and all work related injuries.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times.

Education/Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or working towards
  • First Aid & CPR Certificates

Technical Competencies and Skills

  • Current Valid Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality care
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
